How Telehealth TRT Works: Intake, Labs and a Live Video Visit

September 2026·4 min read

Telehealth TRT has four steps: an online intake, an at-home lab kit, a live video visit with a licensed clinician, and pharmacy shipping if testosterone is prescribed. Available in 30 states plus DC.

1. Online intake

You answer questions about your symptoms, health history and medications. Be complete and honest. The intake is how a clinician spots reasons testosterone may not be safe for you.

2. At-home labs

At-home blood collection kit (Junction) before your first visit. Testosterone is only prescribed after blood work.

3. Live video visit

A live video visit with a licensed clinician (required for testosterone). The clinician reviews your labs and history with you and decides whether testosterone is appropriate. Many people are not prescribed it, and that is a valid outcome.

4. Pharmacy and follow-up

If you are prescribed testosterone, it ships from a US pharmacy. Your clinician sets the follow-up schedule and repeat labs. See how often TRT follow-ups happen.

What telehealth cannot do

  • Replace emergency care. Call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing or signs of a stroke.
  • Guarantee a prescription. The clinician decides.
  • Prescribe testosterone outside the states where our clinician network can.

TRT through VevaMD is from $129/mo. $387 every 3 months ($129/mo), with medication, labs and visits included. Or $149/mo plus a one-time $99 labs and first doctor visit fee. No minimum term; cancel anytime. See the TRT page for details.

VevaMD is a technology company, not a medical provider. Licensed clinicians in the Beluga Health network review every intake and decide whether a prescription is right for you.

Quick answers

Do I need a video visit for online TRT?
Yes. Testosterone is a controlled medication, so a licensed clinician must meet you by live video before prescribing it.
Where do I get my labs done?
You get an at-home blood collection kit before your first visit. Your clinician reviews the results with you.
